Fundraising – QSP
Thanks to you, so far we have sold over $9,000 in subscriptions and raised approximately $2,800 for our school! We are still short of our QSP fundraising goal. Throughout the year you can continue to purchase subscriptions online at www.qsp.ca and the school will receive a portion of the proceeds. Please use our code: 3722923.
Please allow 12-14 weeks for the first issue of your magazine(s) to arrive.
If you have any questions regarding your order in the future, please do not hesitate to call the magazine company’s customer service: 1-800-667-2536. They, rather than the school, are equipped to handle your concerns. Please note that the prize portion for sales has ended.
Thank you once again.
Community – Santa’s Breakfast Re-cap
This week we delivered a cheque to the BBNC for $1875 from the proceeds of last weekend’s Santa’s Breakfast. This will provide bi-weekly boxes of fresh fruit and vegetables to 5 families in need in our community during 2016.
A big thank you to The Garden Gate Restaurant, Tim Horton’s, Starbucks, the Richardson family, the Green family, the Roberts family and Kimberley Turner for their generous donations to our event. Thank you also to Santa, Buddy the Elf and all of the grade 2 parent and student “elf” volunteers for their hard work, as well as the event organizers Linda Nolan, Emily Green, Kelly Richardson and Freda Roberts. Finally, we thank the grade 8 band and Julien and Jacob for providing live music entertainment.
The BBNC informed us that, in conjunction with our donations of diapers and toilet paper valued at over $6000, Courcelette Public School is their largest donor to their Share365 program. However, they still need urgent support to provide for the approximately 450 families they support in our community. Our Council is organizing for a team of parents and families to help box donations during the week of December 14th. To particpate and volunteer your time at the BBNC, please contact Greg Fiddian-Green at firstname.lastname@example.org.
