Our gym floor has been restored to its original glory. It looks great and the kids are really happy about it. Yes, that is our Bronco logo at centre court.
Monday morning, our Grade 6 students, accompanied by Ms. Nikelotopoulos, Mr. Montuno and me are leaving for Kearney. We look forward to learning in a beautiful natural setting.
The Earth Ranger presentation was a great success. We learned a lot of important facts and realities about different species of animals and about what we must collectively do to ensure their survival. The Earth Rangers also brought along some beautiful animal friends. Please enjoy the pictures.
Courcelette teachers are taking part is great professional learning to enhance instruction in the area of mathematics. We are working together to improve student achievement. I wish to thank both Ms. Wilkins and Ms. Bowers for leading these teacher learning sessions.
Ms. Pennington and Bowers are happy to announce that folk dance practices are back on track, now that the gym is available. The practices are Mondays 3:15-4:00 and at lunch on Thursdays 12:00-12:25. This year’s jamboree at the Scarborough Civic Centre is scheduled for May 2nd starting at 5:30 pm.
On May 4rth, 5:00-6:30, we will be hosting a school Open House during which each classroom will be demonstrating how technology and other hands-on learning strategies are being integrated in a variety or curriculum areas. Our Parent Council will provide pizza and drinks. Please plan on joining us!
Grade 8 Graduation
The date for this year’s graduation is Thursday, June 23rd. Preparations are on!

This speaker event will include:

- How to transform your family atmosphere
- In-the-moment tools to manage the most common parenting challenges around responsibility
This will take place in the Blantyre PS Library Learning Commons on April 20 from 6:00-8:00pm. Babysitting will be provided.
