Two messages from Parent Council
Last Friday evening’s 4th annual Spring Social at the Hunt Club was another smashing success. The weather was ideal to soak in glorious views of Lake Ontario, listen to live music performed by the jazz band of Mr. Bradley’s son, and toast to the spring season with friends and neighbours. The silent auction represented over 130 local and Courcelette-family affiliated businesses who donated services, merchandise, and gift certificates to our fundraiser, as well as class art made by our children with Courcelette parent, Danielle Ward. Our live auction was our most thrilling to date, with star lots including autographed sports memorabilia, the chance to be Courcelette Principal-for-a-Day, and vacation stays at a Collingwood chalet. With deep gratitude, we thank all those who attended, all the parents who helped solicit donations and organize the evening, and our numerous and generous Family and Corporate Sponsors—especially The Miyauchi Family, our Diamond Sponsor, and most notably, Mark Richards of The Richards Group Re/Max, who was our Evening Sponsor. We are still calculating the fundraised totals from the evening—please stay tuned.

New life at Courcelette!
This week, we marvelled at the birth of baby chicks. Ms. Reynolds’ classroom became a very popular place for our students to visit.
If you are moving over the summer months, please call to inform us. Please know that Courcelette has closed school status, which means that only students with an address within the TDSB determined catchment are able to attend Courcelette.
The last day of school for students is Wednesday, June 29th. If you are planning an early start on the summer break, please let Ms. Hepner know.
