Greetings All and Welcome Back!
I hope you had a great summer and that your children are ready to return to school. 🙂
Our caretakers have worked all summer to clean and prepare the school for September 6th. It is looking great! Ms. Hepner has been working very hard to keep us all organized.
We have experienced an unexpected number of new registrations. We welcome all new students and their families to the Courcelette school community. The additional students will exceed the projected number, which will impact class sizes. As always, enrollment is closely monitored by the TDSB during the first two weeks of September and schools that need to be reorganized will be notified before the third week of September.
We are welcoming new staff members to Courcelette. This too is subject to change due to hiring processes that need to be followed by district school boards. Should staff changes occur, I will communicate the changes in advance.
Celebrating our Rio Olympics achievements
Toronto Mayor John Tory has proclaimed Wednesday, Sept. 7 as Toronto Olympians and Paralympians Day. To celebrate our Olympians’ achievements, we encourage everyone to come to school Canada proud. Should your children have red and white pieces of clothing, please encourage them to wear them on Wednesday.
Finally, the classroom placements lists will be posted on the school doors later this afternoon.
I wish everyone a safe long weekend and a smooth return to school.
