FALL FEST – A Triumph!
The Parent Council of Courcelette Public School hosted its annual Fall Fest this past Saturday, October, 22nd, drawing families, friends and members of our broader community for a fun-filled day. The weather cooperated and fun was had by all.
First and foremost, we wish to thank our sponsors for their tremendous generosity, allowing us to host another successful fundraiser for our school:
- Roger Martins of Real Estate Homeward, Brokerage / Martins Family
Gold: $600 – $999
- Designfusion / Marsh Family
- Beach Braces / Daskalogiannakis Family
Silver: $400 – $599
Thank you to all the families of Courcelette Public School for the many contributions to Fall Fest and volunteer hours, both before and on the day of the event. Without our wonderful community of families at Courcelette Public School, this event would not be possible.
A very special thank you goes out to Shan Collins and Tanya Payne for their leadership, hours of work and commitment to the Fall Fest tradition. I wish to also thank Ms. Hepner and John “Peach” Evans for their support. Thank you All!

Have a Happy and Inclusive Halloween
As you may know, human rights case law recently recognized severe allergies as a disability under the Ontario Human Rights Code.
Because of allergies, many children have not been able to go trick or treating. That is changing–and you can help. Here is how:
Place a teal pumpkin or a sign indicating that you have non-candy treats available for those kids who need a safe alternative. Other options can include glow sticks, stickers and small toys.
Help make it a Happy Halloween for everyone. For more information on allergies and the Teal pumpkin movement visit here: http://www.foodallergy.org
