PARENT SYMPOSIUM AT COURCELETTE
On the evening of November 24th, Ms. Bowers is hosting a Parent Symposium on Mindfulness and Well-Being here at Courcelette. As a part of this evening, we will be hearing a presentation on Mindfulness and having our very own Student Mental Health Committee present and reflect on the work they are doing in our classes each week. Ms. Bowers will also be presenting The Zones of Regulation curriculum that we are currently implementing in classes. Parents are asked to please click on the link below to RSVP if you’re able to be in attendance. This invitation has also been extended to parents at Blantyre P.S.
Thank you in advance,
Lost and Found

Parents Council support at work
We love those Field Trips – We’re going to Young Peoples’ Theater.
Class lists will be emailed to all registered parents on Monday November 21st. To receive the class list, please ensure that you have signed up and have updated your information at the following location: http://eepurl.com/cekuVT
We are looking for a class rep for each class to help facilitate communications. Volunteering in this role is generally a very easy way to help out the school with minimal effort. If you are interested, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know your grade and teacher.
Next Council Meeting
Our next council meeting is on Monday November 21st at 7pm in the gymnasium. All are welcome and childcare is provided for attendees. You can find our agenda here and the last meeting minutes are located here
Congratulations to Ms. Pennington’s Grade 2/3 class who won a Pizza Party for their quick action in reaching and exceeding their class donation goal! Thank you to all of the families who have already donated to this Courcelette tradition to charity. We still have a way to go towards our class and overall school goals. We ask that you bring in any diapers and unscented, liquid laundry soap to classes by next Friday, November 25th. As a reminder, if you would like to donate funds instead towards the classroom goals please contact Emily Green (email@example.com) or Carrie Broughton (firstname.lastname@example.org), and they will gladly do the shopping on your behalf.
You can also make a monetary donation directly to the centre. Be sure to specify that your funds are to be applied to the Share365(Courcelette) program: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/birchmount-bluffs-neighbourhood-centre/
Have a look at how your children’s classes are doing with donations and what items they are still looking to receive.
Starting Monday we will be accepting donations towards our Mitten Tree—new or gently used warm winter items such as hats, mittens, scarves, coats and snow pants would be greatly appreciated. All items will be collected until December 3rd (Santa’s Breakfast). Please decorate our tree (by the gym doors) with your donation. All items will be given to the BBNC who will distribute them to those in need.
