How are you feeling?

How are you and your children feeling after the first week of school? Probably a little tired like some of the kindergarten students indicated in the pictograph above. Hopefully mostly happy that the first week is done! I am feeling grateful to be part of such a great school community and delighted by the amazing smiles of the Courcelette students (even in the sheets of rain yesterday!).

This week we had a Welcome Back to School Assembly for students in Grades 1 to 8 to review rules and routines. Please remember to return the information packages sent home on the first day of school. If you did not receive one, please contact your child’s teacher as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT: Medical Information

If your child has a medical condition or may require the administration of medications, please ensure you complete the required forms. We are required to have a Management of Emergency Medical Concern form on file for all students with life threatening allergies. These forms will be sent home with students whose guardians have not completed one already.

Our lap tops and cart have arrived! Thank you to the Courcelette Community Council for the purchase of 25 computers. I look forward to working closely with all members of the Parent Council. A package is going home today from the council and contains important information regarding the upcoming school council election.

SAVE THE DATE: Curriculum Night will be September 26th, 5:30 pm to 7 pm. Additional details to follow.

The annual Terry Fox Run will take place Friday, September 29th after pm recess (2:00 – 3:15 pm).

Speaking of important dates… FALL FEST is scheduled to take place Saturday, October 21st. I am looking forward to joining all of you for this celebration and fundraising event to support our school initiatives.
