The upcoming week promises to be a very busy one as we prepare for Fall Fest 2017: Saturday, October 21st, 11 – 3 pm!
I would like to encourage everyone to participate in any way they can from giving of your time to making a donation – big or small. Thank you to our students, staff, and families who have been working so hard to get ready for this important fundraising event that supports student programming through field trips, music education, and technology in the school and so much more!

Fall Fest Poster Contest Winners were announced today and are on display in the school foyer. The artistic talent of the Courcelette PS students is amazing. Pictured below are the winning submissions.
Reminder notices went home today regarding donations and volunteers, please ask your child to see the notice – we want to ensure everyone feels included in the fun!

Tuesday, October 17th: Individual Education Plans (IEPs) will be sent home. Please sign and return page 5. If you have any questions, speak to your child’s teacher. The IEP is a working document and can be adjusted to meet each student’s needs.
Friday, October 20th: X-country East Meet.
Building on the amazing performance of students in this past week’s qualifier, the Broncos will be the team to beat. Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the meet this past week – Ms. Gillan loved cheering you on. We had 5 runners in different grades finish first! The teams did amazingly well. Please see Ms. Robertson’s blog for additional results and details about upcoming training.

Tuesday, October 24th: Amazing Race Canada Day!!!! Wear your spirit wear as we welcome former student and the winner of the Amazing Race Canada Season 5 back to Courcelette PS for an assembly beginning at 1 pm for students and staff Grade 1 – 8.
Former student of Ms. Wilkins, Ms. Pennington, and Mr. Knight – Paul Mitskopoulos will be giving a talk on the challenges of winning the competition and answering students’ questions in this celebratory assembly!
Grade 8 Night – 7 pm @ Blantyre PS. Come and learn more information about the transition to Grade 9 and the choices before us.
Wednesday, October 25th: QSP Fundraiser Kick Off Assembly – more information to come! Thank you to Ms. Howard for organizing this for our school.
Monday, October 30th: Grade 8 Trip Information Night – 7 pm Room 11
Thursday, November 2nd: School Council Meeting in the gym, 7 pm.
