Dear Courcelette PS Community,
I owe a great many people a heartfelt thank you for their contributions to Courcelette PS during the month of November.
I would like to thank our Community Council for supporting our music program through the purchase of Djambe drums, 60 buckets for our new Grade 6 Bucket Drumming initiative, sports equipment for DPA classroom kits, and a commitment to continued support of STEAM – science, technology, engineering, arts and math initiatives. The school community is grateful for your continued support.
Our next Courcelette Community Council Meeting is December 6th at 7 pm in the gym.
I would also like to thank the classes and the choir (under the direction of Ms. Panksep) who contributed to the Remembrance Day Assembly. The program included many touching and educational moments.
We’ve been very fortunate to have our Grade 7/8 students take the lead during the first few assemblies of the year. Their leadership has been greatly appreciated. We look forward to all classes taking their turn in hosting monthly Recognition Assemblies as the year moves forward. Thank you to our Intermediate students for leading by example, in particular our Tech Crew and Ms.Wilkins!
This past week Progress Reports went home. Thank you to the teachers for your hard work getting the reports completed and for conducting constructive family-teacher interviews. Parents/guardians – we are, as always, thrilled to share the students’ achievements. Your partnership and support helps to ensure student success.
I would like to also acknowledge Ms. Chang who helped supervise and support students during the Caribou Math Contest this week. All of the students demonstrated a commitment to working through challenges. I want to acknowledge the accomplishments of all students and in particular London K, Emma N , Maya T.B., and Katie S who demonstrated exemplary performance/ranking in the TDSB. Great work!
Lastly, a BIG thank you to everyone – we have reached 100% participation in School Cash On-line! Ms. Hepner says, ” it couldn’t have done been without you!” Well, Ms. Hepner, we couldn’t have done it without you either!! Happy 100% !!! Good to know that this system is used into the secondary years.
