We look forward to seeing you and the students tomorrow evening for Curriculum Night.
Details as follows: Our Curriculum Night is an Open Houseforum where students in Gr. K – 6 are encouraged to take their parents/guardians to meet their teachers and tour the school between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm. If you have more than one child in attendance you can visit all of their classes and teachers – including Mr. Knight (Phys. Ed.), Ms. Robertson (Library, Special Education, Prep), Ms. Clarke (Resource Teacher), and Madame Baldwin (French). Parents/guardians of Gr. 7/8 Intermediate students should attend a presentation by Ms. Wilkins and Ms. Fletcher outlining important information for this academic year. The Intermediate presentation begins at 6:10 pm in Rm 11 & 6 (second floor). The information night for the Grade 8 Grad Trip is POSTPONED to October 9th.
In between visits, please consider dining in the Bronco’s Pizzeria, in the gym.
The Parent Council will be selling pizza at Curriculum Night to raise money for technology programs at the school. Skip the dishes, enjoy a slice (or two) and support your kids’ learning. Hope to see you there! Slices are $2 (or 3 for $5); water bottles are $1.
Terry Fox Run/Walk
Thank you to Mr. Knight and his student team for organizing the Terry Fox – Run/Walk in the school & community takin place this Wednesday, September 26thfollowing afternoon recess (2:20pm).
If you can volunteer to help monitor students running and walking in the community please meet Ms. Gillan & Mr. Knight at 2:05 in the school yard. Students are encouraged to bring a “Toonie for Terry” or any donation the day of the walk. Courcelette families are welcome to join all of our staff and students as we walk to show our support for the Terry Fox Foundation and cancer research.
On Thursday September 27th, students and staff will come together in the gym for an assembly. The assembly will honour Canadian hero Terry Fox and explain the significance of Orange Shirt Day which is recognized September 30, 2018 in Canada.
We are very sensitive to the age range of our students and ensure all presentations will be developmentally appropriate. If you have questions or concerns please contact your child’s teacher or Ms. Gillan.
