In addition, the Eco-Club is still accepting used costumes for our costume exchange. Bring that costume to school between Monday, October 21st and Thursday, October 24th and make another child’s day!
The Courcelette Eco-Club will be hosting a Halloween costume swap on Thursday, October 24th after school. Bring a costume for the swap and find one that your child can wear on October 31st. By participating in the swap, students will be helping recycle costumes that otherwise often end up in landfills.
The Eco-Club asks that families package up any costumes they’ll be donating to the swap in one piece, with the size and style of the costume (e.g., “bumble bee”) labeled on the bag. This will make it easier for swappers to sort through the costumes and find something that works for them.
Please send the costume to school with your child between October 21st and October 24th. There will be a box near the office for students to place the costumes in. The Eco-Club will set up the swap outside after school. Should it rain, an alternate location will be announced.
Any costumes that aren’t claimed at the swap will be donated.
PIZZA LUNCH : Friday, October 25th 2019
Sharing Assembly – October 30th – 9 am. Hosted by the “BFFs” Buddies in Ms. Wilkins & Ms. Shaw’s Class. Awards for student of the month for September & October will be presented. Your child’s teacher will contact you beforehand if your child is receiving a certificate of achievement. All students receive a certificate during the school year to recognize their contribution to our school community in a positive manner.
Halloween – October 31st.
Students are invited to wear their costumes to school in the afternoon. There will be a parade around the school beginning at 12:45 for K – 3 students. Please consult with your child’s teacher before sending any food to school. There are many students at our school with life threatening allergies therefore we minimize or do not allow food in the classrooms at school. Classroom teachers and staff do a great job celebrating with fun games and activities instead.
If you have questions, please consult with the classroom teacher.
