This is a very special thank you to the Courcelette Community School Council for supporting our education initiatives through fundraising for the school and for the community. In particular, thank you for raising school spirit and bringing the community together!
In particular I would like to thank Ms. Nolan & Ms. Black, for their amazing efforts as Co-Chairs of the Fundraising Committee.
Thank you to all of the volunteers who worked at the Scholastic Book Fair! The event exceeded expectations in sales and the school staff would like to thank everyone for purchasing books on their Wish Lists.
Our Polar Plunge Raffle was also a great success. Winners of the raffle prizes are:
- D. Gregg – Isabella’s Boutique Restaurant Gift Certificate
- K. Coutinho – Prep Academy Tutoring Gift Certificate
- L. Curgenven – Pawsitively Pets Birthday Party
- E. Bryson – Toronto Maple Leaf’s tickets
- A. Murcia – Toronto Raptor’s tickets
Thank you to the generous donors of these prizes, including Isabella’s Boutique Restaurant, Pawsitively Pets, Prep Academy, and The Miller Family.
This past Saturday School Council and our Grade 2 Families hosted the annual Breakfast with Santa. The team effort raised $900.00 to be donated to the Birchmount Bluffs Neighbourhood Centre. Everyone enjoyed a delicious breakfast, danced to the tunes of Scarboro Music, and took photos with Santa Claus. Thank you to all of the many volunteers, including our Grade 2 Elves, who worked tirelessly to pull everything together.
An additional note of thanks to Mr. Dave Milner (hohoho), Scarboro Music (awesome band!), Isabella’s Restaurant (yum!), and our photographer extraordinaire Ms. Alicia Farrow. In addition, Grade 8s – Gabby & Austin for their support, as well as returning alum Sheldon for helping to set-up.
It really does take a village and I am so proud to be part of this one!
